Yeah I had poisonous vapors too on a 3-eyed dung beetle forgotten beast. I’ve had random nobility come visit just for fun, sometimes they move in or marry other nobles. Why is there a bunch of baron visitors hanging around in my fort? Is my king having some sort of gathering of sorts?Įdit: man, poisonous vapurs is no joke, eh? Had a sworddwarf get caught in a cloud while fighting a forgotten beast, and while he took no hits from the beast, his entire body basically rotted away afterwards. I can't throw them into a pit because they can fly and apparently I can't drown them so I guess I need to just pump some lava onto them. I'm running out of space to put all of these caged Bat People. Meanwhile, just around the bend, an assortment of caged invasive critters patiently await the heat death of the universe, unaffected by the water around them. Their bodies now remain just out of reach, entombed beneath the flood grates of my bustling tavern. Here's an image of the results of two failed water projects: a lovely mist generator in my tavern (bottom), and a drowning chamber for invaders (top).Īs I was building the mist generator, about 9 dwarves and residents tumbled helplessly into the drainage pit beneath my tavern, dying within seconds, before I could react. In classic Dwarf Fortress fashion, this fort has just been a succession of mishaps, each dumber than the last. Unfortunately I can't seem to keep my military dwarves alive so I haven't been able to use them on raids yet. I'm up to 9 war elephants and about a dozen baby elephants waiting to be trained. Getting an elephant as your embark beast of burden is like winning the lottery
